Welcome to St. Francis CARE! We are a volunteer, nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated
to rescuing lost, unwanted and abandoned pets. Here you will find the latest news, adoption
information, lists of adoptable pets, volunteer opportunities, contact information, and more.

St. Francis CARE is also home to southern Illinois’ first and only low-cost spay/neuter clinic. In
order to help stem the tide of unwanted and abandoned companion animals, we provide sharply
discounted spay and neuter services to low income individuals and families who cannot otherwise
afford such services.
Those who qualify can have their pet spayed or neutered for as little as $35,
less than half of what most veterinary clinics charge. For more information, call or
