St. Francis CARE SPOT (stop pet overpopulation today) is our low-income spay/neuter clinic. It was the first of its kind in Southern Illinois, and continues to serve over 10 counties in the Southern Illinois area today. You must meet our qualifications to have your animal seen at our clinic.
* If you receive any of the following, you qualify: Link Card, Medicaid, Medical Card, Food Stamps, Disability, Social Security
* If you meet the federal poverty income level, you qualify.
* If you are uncertain whether or not you qualify, please call us at 618-687-2079.
* You will be required to bring verification of your income status to your appointment. We cannot provide service if verification is not on file.
***You must call St. Francis CARE to schedule an appointment. We do not have walk-in hours, nor can we take walk-in cases.
****There are also a limited number of appointments available, and at times, scheduling can be weeks out.
**** We do not notify if we have cancellations. As we are run mainly by volunteers we do not have the staffing required to do this.
Medical Appointments are scheduled as follows:
Spay/Neuter: Monday-Thursday 8:00am
Vaccinations: Monday-Thursday: 1:00 – 3:00pm
Diagnostic Medical Appointments: Tuesday, & Thursday 1:00 – 3:00pm
