Community Animal Rescue and Education (St. Francis CARE) was founded in 2006 by a group of animal enthusiasts who wanted to provide shelter for unwanted animals before placing them in good homes.
The founders soon expanded their purpose to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering pets to minimize the use of euthanasia for population control. Read more about our founders, their adorable pets and what they love most about St. Francis CARE.
We are a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, which means we rely heavily on donations from the public to keep us up and running. Our animals need many things to keep them comfortable and happy, and we strive to make sure they are spoiled rotten!
